We got up in the morning but our moonlight had slid away We got up and like George said: It’s not always gonna be this grey If all things must pass when’s this shit gonna be over with We got up in the morning hazy from such little sleeping We got up and like George said: look at the floor it needs sweeping If all things are due to pass is this part over with yet By the light of the moon I sing a melody oh breathe in the light of the moon I know she watches me watches me oh And if you think you can’t let me show you how you can And if you think you can’t let me show you how you can And if you think you can’t let me show you how you can how you can oh Things must pass All things must pass But does this part have to go away just yet Not yet We got up cuz it was morning but our moonlight was wanting more We got up and like George said: Let out your heart from behind that locked door

Saw a tawny dog that looked just like yours She tried to cross a busy street Almost got hit and thought better of it She ran away from home Love you so deeply But there’s smoke curling around me And I already cut my knees Would you leave if I plead If I plead Do I need to plead If you gotta get out, just get out And if you’re afraid to explain now Pray for the blessing of your phone shutting down Your battery will show you how Can your family confirm or deny That they hate me and they wish I would die We’re all in love but some of us can’t fly She ran away from home That’s not your home It’s definitely you but it’s also me And it’s us together simultaneously But oh I still want it legendary Prince in Miami

this might not end well things can change it could get ugly I’m the only one that lives here the only one today go on and lick your wounds the world will remain staring into the white sky there’s a blank page steady now the world remains the world remains clear your head make a costume change there will be room for you the world remains every shape is just a circle that’s had a little chipped away the world didn’t end it remained the world remains can you hear it falling the rain upon your skin wash you top to bottom fresh from where you’ve been can you hear it falling the rain upon your skin wash you top to bottom fresh from where you’ve been the world remains this might not end well things can change it could get ugly but the world remains shake off your grieving shroud switch from pause to play you should be so proud proud the world awaits ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

to the sun 03:57
I used to believe that the world was good But that’s been trampled out I used to be good at keeping spirits light But no more I was the one who thought people were decent at the end of the day Then I was drained of blood and light Eyes half closed, cheek to the floor Now I see it a different way You’ve gotta claw your way to the sun The light won’t always reach you where you are You’ve gotta drag your body to higher ground I might have stayed cheek to the floor If it weren’t for the people around Reminding me there’s more I used to believe that love was enough That it washed away all sins I used to think love made everything excusable I was the one who thought all people were decent at the end of the day Then I was drained of blood and light Eyes half closed, cheek to the floor Now I see it a different way You’ve gotta claw your way to the sun The light won’t always reach you where you are You’ve gotta drag your body to higher ground I might have stayed cheek to the floor If it weren’t for the people around Reminding me there’s more Oh there’s still light to be found Some people are good But not everyone deserves your love Oh you can carve out your spot in the rock of the world If fear is a choice Then joy is too Pick up your cheek from the floor Keep the people around who know there’s more And carve your name in the sun

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I haven't always known how to be myself, but I have always felt like myself when I'm wearing ~shorts~.
Writing music became a really tentative process of trying to get to know the sound of my own voice. I found quickly that it also helped me understand what was happening in my life (art is healing), and so became a really joyful, messy time -- after abuse, after getting out, being alone. I’ve always been a musician, but I forgot that for a while when things were not good in my life. I re-learned how to play the piano, writing things I could barely play... I kept listening to myself, kept writing, came into my trans nonbinary-ness….and 100% of everything is better. Thanks for listening.
